Guess What?

We are very excited to announce that we will be having another boy!!! Our baby's due date is November 4th.

This ultrasound appointment was full of mixed emotions. When we chose to have another baby, it was because we really felt God wanted us to have another child...boy or girl. Of course there is a strong desire in my heart, and even BJ's, for a baby girl....but I will choose to trust that the Lord knows best and love this baby growing inside of me. The boys were really wanting another brother. When we shared the news with our boys, Jared said "YES, now I can stop worrying about it!" I figured they had enough playmates but I guess the more the merrier. :) Justin had told me earlier in the day that he wanted another brother "because I like boys, actually."
I can't believe I will be a mommy to FIVE boys! :)
p.s. I bought a really cute skirt for myself after the appointment. I told BJ that I deserve it...especially since we will be saving lots of money by having another boy!

Can't wait to meet this new little nephew! You and BJ both do such a good job of taking boyishness in stride. With two little boys of my own I know that I can learn much from both of you. If Isaac is correct, all of our kiddos will be boys, too! Yippee! -Jessica

So, yeeeeeah, looks like you're PREGNANT! Guess so, by the photograph. Unless you pulled an old one from the drawer. You are lovely!

HOLY COW, Elaine. You people are doing a great job of populating the earth. My lands.

My parents' best friends from college (and they were in each others' weddings, etc.) had five boys. We would visit them in Wyoming every so often. It was always crazy at their house. Like, they were always constructing a new room or a whole new house, so everybody slept in sleeping bags all over the house, year after year. (This is my childhood memory; could be a little tainted by time). I think I already told you this, but the thing that always impressed me was that the mom had one single huge bucket of socks. She bought all the same style and didn't even bother matching them up. Just threw clean socks in the bucket and let the boys pick out a pair when they needed them.

You will be able to host a television show with all of the organizational tips and tricks you know.

I can't get over it.

You are pregnant with a 5th boy. Well, CONGRATULATIONS!

Yay for precious new baby Kuykendall! God has given you lovely "olive plants" to adorn your table and wonderful sons to take care of their Mama down the road. Not to mention that we people who seem to have only girls need some families with good christian boys to set them up with! We could be in-laws :) Wish I lived closer...we could sneak away for a girly day of pedicures and pampering. I will call you soon...

Elaine, I am so happy for you guys! I can't wait to see this new little one! I am sure he is going to be just as cute as all your boys!

You are a great Mother! It takes a lot of patients to be a mother to 1 boy. I give you major props for raising 4 wonderful boys (soon to be 5)

I know you have plenty of nieces but if you need a girl fix at anytime, I will let you play with Erika for a bit. :)

Hope to see you guys again soon!
