Our Picnic

Last Thursday BJ worked late, so we decided to bring him dinner. We had a nice picnic in the middle of this 8,000 square foot home. :) Even though BJ really misses ministry right now, he is exposing our boys to new things. I am excited for him to learn the tricks of the trade.....in case our next home needs a little improving. :)

Lots of sheet rock! One of BJ's least favorite aspects of this job.

The rides here are better than Disneyland's. :)

"I got my muscles from daddy"

Anyone who knows BJ would understand why I had to buy this outfit for Jud! The boys are following in daddy's footsteps...recognizing muscle cars and rolling down the car windows to hear the rumble as one drives by. :)

Penelope and Oliver

A few weeks back we got our rabbits! The boys (and mommy) were so excited. :) They are six month old siblings. Before Jud was born we had planned on getting two bunnies, but life was a little too crazy. The boys kept on us about it, so BJ checked craigslist and found these two, complete with a hutch. The family was super nice, giving us all their rabbit supplies and then only accepting twenty dollars for everything. What a blessing!

Our hope was to get into 4-H and the first meeting is in a couple of weeks. Wish me luck. I have these great dreams of being a hobby farmer's wife, and then reality hits. It is a little dirty, the animals kinda scare me, I always have so many inside chores to get done, and so on. I told BJ I am going to conquer any fears I have with these new pets...for goodness sake they are rabbits!

They sure are cute!

Aunt Amy Rocks!

For Christmas this year my sister went all out. She made us really cool gifts...even with having her own baby three weeks after Jud! The boys were so excited to wear their ties last Sunday and they can't wait until they are marking their height at the six foot mark. (We hope they make it...my side of the family isn't too tall!) Thanks Aunt Amy and Uncle Isaac.

Ten Weeks

Reflecting back on the past ten weeks, those first six weeks were a lot of work. Funny how during that time you think it is more than you can handle... now looking back it was such a short time, and we made it! Schedules are back in order and we are truly enjoying this little guy. His smiles bring smiles to our faces. Our days are still full, but I can't imagine it any better. :)

Family Band 2009

Here we are making sort of beautiful music in the Arnold's basement!

My father-in-law, John-the official camera man- took picures with my camera for me. I didn't realize that he took videos too. (Lucky for my viewing friends :)

BJ's tuba wouldn't fit in our suburban with all our stuff. He was a little sad to sit this year out.

Eddie and his sweet little girl, Rileigh.

Laurie and Audrey Nan

BJ's cousin, Jamison, is a serious tuba player. He majored in tuba and hopes to play for a big-time symphony orchestra someday. Folks, you heard it here first.

Our missing daughter....

I think cousin Reaghan would fit in just fine! :)

Jared's cookies

A few weeks back, Jared was begging me to let him crack the eggs while I was baking. I wasn't ready to let him try it on something I was baking for company, so I told him he could make his own cookies. Boy was he excited! It was fun to walk him through the steps and teach him how to measure the ingredients.

His peanut butter cookies were delicious!
