Christmas Letter 2012

It is hard to believe another Christmas is upon us. As A child I remember waiting so long for Christmas to come, and, in this stage of life, it seems Christmas is always just around the corner.  It is already time to reflect back on another year.

All in all 2012 has been a good year. It has definitely been a year for learning patience: patience in waiting to find a home of our own, patience in learning how to do things with twins (get out the door, meals, etc.), and patience in waiting for so many of the dreams and desires of our family to unfold.  Looking back at this past year's blog posts, we can see that the blessings far outweigh the challenges.

Our boys are growing so fast!  Jared is 11 1/2 years and really excelling at the piano.  We are so proud of the seriousness with which he approaches his music.  Jesse, age 10, is our entrepreneur and a real go-getter.  He is always up to tackle a new project.  Justin, 7 years, is doing so well in school; his reading is improving each day.  His real love is drawing though. Johnny, age 5, is just as witty as ever.  The phrases he comes up with always keep us entertained.  Judson Lee, at 3, remains our busiest boy ever, but within that bundle of energy is a real snuggler with a tender loving heart.  Joshua, 17 months, seems to be the boss of the twins, although he usually likes to watch his brother try something first before he goes for it.  Josiah, our baby by a minute, has a very laid back, charming personality.  The twins are walking so well and have such sweet, pleasant personalities.  We can't imagine life without our boys.

People often tell me I must be so busy....and well, I am. :)  I guess when I stop and think about it what better way to spend my time than on my family.  I am starting to have a few more free moments to craft or read again.  Our days are full but blessed.

BJ is doing a great job as daddy to our boys and pastor of our church.  I often watch in awe as he preaches God's word or handles "situations" with such wisdom.

At times life can be overwhelming, but God's grace has always been and will continue to be sufficient! I can't imagine life without the LORD.

We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.   My prayer for our own family and yours is that we would grow in our love and understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ;  that our lives would be a true reflection of all His love and goodness.

Love from the Kuykendalls......
BJ, Elaine, Jared, Jesse, Justin, John, Judson, Joshua, and Josiah

Joy to the World!
