the party

The day of the party was so HOT!  Thank goodness for the awnings the Johnsons and Elsers brought over and set up.

I made these blocks for Joshua and Josiah.  We haven't been very good about getting their pictures taken. (Sorry boys.)  So true, the later baby(ies) get less and less footage. :) Looking back through a year's worth of pictures, I realized that I hadn't taken a whole lot of individual shots. It is rare to find one without the other one close by!

Funny that I have to remind my boys to save food for the guests.

These were my first babies to wait on any sweets until their 1st birthday cake.  They loved it!  Joshua was the first to dig in.  Josiah watched him for a second then decided to try it for himself. Notice the progression in the the following pictures.

Poor Johnny was all tuckered out.  Whenever John disappears for too long you can usually find him asleep somewhere. :)

Later in the day more family and friends showed up to celebrate. The kiddos beat the heat with slip-n-slide fun.

A big thank you to everyone who has been there for us this past year and loved on our sweet bins.  The year has had its challenges, but God has been good. Babies are such a blessing...even if they keep us house bound for a season. :)
