Christmas Program

Tonight was the children's program at our church. Our boys were adorable....not that we are biased or anything. :) J.R. did not perform except to complain during the program. He and daddy ended up in the balcony.
Jesse's Sunday School class sang a carol and recited Luke 2:11. (Jesse somehow got a rug burn on his nose with no brothers involved- classic Jesse.)
Justin's Sunday School class sang a bunch of carols with motions. Last year Justin just stood there, but this year he really got into it. The little girl next to him kept pulling on his sweater and laughing. Justin just looked at her like "what are you doing?"

The older kids' program, "The Mystery of the Manger", was next. The children really did a great job. Jared knew all the songs and stood so well for the whole performance. We are very thankful our boys have such a fine children's program to be a part of. Aunt Linda did, and always does, an awesome job directing.
At the end, Jesse and Faith had to come up to play Joseph and Mary for a quick scene. I love how "natural" Jesse's hands look at his side. Daddy had prepped the boys to keep their hands at their sides.
A picture of Jared and his good friend Ruben.

It is tradition at our church for Pastor Darcy to present each child with a goody bag of peanuts, an orange, and candy after the program while sitting on the throne, a big, plush, red chair. (My boys are really impressed by this chair!)

Christmas is almost here! "And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in the manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7
