Double the Fun!

Our family is pleased to announce that baby #6 is on the way....

...and baby #7!

Before Thanksgiving we found out we had a little surprise on the way. Around 13-14 weeks I finally found a doctor and scheduled an appointment. I was really thankful BJ was with me for this first ultrasound/appointment! Our technician had taken measurements as usual for about ten minutes before she said, "oh, that is why I was having trouble with these measurements. You are having twins!" She deleted all her data and started over, this time working on Baby A first. BJ looked over at me and said, "you can buy a better double stroller." He couldn't stop laughing, I was in total shock. To top this all off, they are both boys. God has such a sense of humor!

We are both so excited and nervous all at the same time. Our boys are beyond thrilled and couldn't wait to pick out matching shirts for Baby A and Baby B. :) Please pray for the health and development of our little blessings. We have a lot of preparations to make in the next five months. A 12 passenger van is definitely in our near future.....

Work Day!

Yesterday we took the boys to work around Grandma Carolla's property. My boys worked hard and I was proud.

J.R. really got into his job. I know the walking back and forth on uneven terrain was good for his legs.

Here is Jud dreaming about working with the big boys someday! :) I enjoyed visiting with Carolla and chasing Judson. He is a busy little guy...into everything!

I was glad the boys had a chance to work off some of their energy and use their muscles again. We do miss our home in Centralia...a place never lacking in outdoor chores for the boys. :) Our rental is very nice, but there is nothing for the boys to do here. (No garden to weed, no firewood to stack, no pinecones or rocks to pick up.) We are excited to get our Centralia home sold and invest ourselves into a place here. Probably with any move there are mixed emotions. Our new church family has been so loving and supportive, but it is always hard to leave friends behind. I have yet to meet another homeschool family in this county. We pray that the Lord will introduce us to other families that we can have fellowship with and even join up with for a few field trips. We know the Lord is in this move and will take care of us. This may sound a little trite, but at least we have each other.

A random evening....

I was tired the other evening, relaxing on the couch, but enjoyed watching my family around me. Every boy, big and small were engaged in some activity.

Tricks with daddy.

Folding and putting away his laundry pile.

Practicing fiddle.

Climbing on daddy.

Playing tractors.

And earlier in the evening, my two pillow heads. They had a lot of fun running through the house with these pillows on their heads. :)

The joys of little boys!

Happy church day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. :)

OMSI

Here's a few pictures from our family field trip to OMSI last Friday. The boys have a blast here!

After OMSI we drove to my in-laws to visit and eat pizza. Pretty fun day!

A real lifesaver.....

My sister introduced me to this life saving product. As a mother of five boys, (four of which are potty-trained) my bathrooms were a little smelly. It drove me crazy. It seemed like no matter what I did to clean them, the smell, you know which smell I am talking about, remained. I felt like a failure of a mom at training my boys to aim better and like maybe I really didn't know how to clean my home. I am so pleased to say that biokleen worked! I squirted it on the floor around the toilet, wiped it up a few minutes later with a wet rag, and then wiped down the floors with pinesol as usual. You have no idea how excited I am! :)

New dinner helpers....

Tonight right after dinner, BJ asked Jared and Jesse to help him clean out our suburban. Since Jesse was my scheduled helper, daddy suggested Justin and J.R. fill in.

J.R. loved washing dishes. I started realizing the need to train these two in some of these tasks. It is so easy to rely on the older ones who already know how to do the job. The little guys need to learn too.
At one point while I was rinsing, my arm started to feel really wet. I looked over to see J.R. dangling his sopping wet rag over my sleeve while focusing on his next dish. :)

Justin had floor duty. This job is a little harder, especially on this floor. I would never recommend this color of flooring for a family with little children. I really should mop every day...which doesn't happen.

I finally took over sweeping and Justin used our hand vac under the table. We make a good team!

Our biggest mess maker. Poor little Jud hasn't felt good the past few days. There have been few smiles from him, but I managed to capture this one. Hopefully his little teeth will be in soon and his cold will clear up.
