our binnies

BJ put up a temporary fence in the backyard so our twins have a contained place to play outside.  It seems when they get loose, they always head for the Quonset hut or the mud puddles.  They love to be outdoors.

Easter....Part II

Talk about feeling grown-up, I have now officially hosted Thanksgiving and Easter!  Thankfully, with everyone's help, I haven't had to cook the turkey or ham for these holidays yet. :)

I really enjoyed hosting in our new home. We finally have room for a bigger table....which we desperately needed for our family, let alone any guests.  We are thankful for the beautiful, LARGE table my in-laws bought us as a house warming gift.  We had 14 around the table and 2 in high chairs.

Sally spoils our boys with her Easter baskets every year.  Even at 1 1/2 years, Joshua and Josiah caught on to how fun they are!  They would empty the bag and refill it over and over and over again!

Now this was a sight to see: my niece, Kami, giving rides on the riding lawn mower.  We thought it was fitting that she wore her boots.  Yee Haw!
Hunting eggs....

Judson carried around the eggs he found for the rest of the day.  As you can imagine, his eggs weren't in the greatest shape!

Aunt Alison looked out the window and noticed cows walking in the road.  Sure enough, the neighbor's cows got out.  BJ took off to help herd them back in and also got to meet a few of our neighbors in the process.  :)

What a wonderful day!
He is risen indeed!

He is Risen!

Easter was an eventful day for us since we hosted this year.  I thought we might have to call it off because of a weird painful virus in my abdomen that started a few days before.  After an expensive ER visit to discover it wasn't my appendix, I started to feel better.  :) We were so behind in a lot of things.  I should say mommy was behind.  It is tough to be stuck in bed with your mind racing of all the things that need to be done.  One lesson learned was to NOT procrastinate....to even 4 days before an event!

Our crazy week meant dyeing eggs after church before family arrived!

starting young...

It is always amazing to me how fast little ones catch on to technology.  The bins love to grab the ipad any chance they get and start "tapping."  :)  Justin was having fun playing with them....and Jesse, of course, couldn't resist getting involved.  :)

Adventures

Although there is a lot to do around here, we are really enjoying the beauty of the Willamette Valley countryside.  This particular day we especially stood in awe of God's splendor and promises.

Air soft wars

With our new place came a few acres of Scotch Broom and an old condemned farmhouse ....perfect for an afternoon of air soft wars.  A couple of young men from our church asked to use our place and we were happy to let them have at it! It was fun to watch all the activity from my window.  Boys sure are different than girls, but they had a good time!  Our Scotch Broom is now gone, but we'd gladly let them play another round someday.  :)

They were so nice to let our oldest three and BJ use their equipment and join in the fun.  The boys, big and small, had a blast!
